Craft Room Organization: Stamps

Hello!

Yesterday, I introduced you to my new Craft Room (here).
Today, I am going to show you how I am storing some of my retired stamp sets.

My room is a wide-open space.  4 walls, one of windows.  I have 2 solid pocket doors I can close off if I need to.  Mostly, I leave the doors "tucked in".  From my room, I look out into the hall at iron railing and the foyer light :)  Luckily, there is also a small window over the foyer so I can see the tops of the trees :)  I guess it's better than looking at a wall :)

On either side of the door opening, I have placed these old pine bookcases.  They came from the Massachusetts house.  My husband had them in his prior home.  One was in my old craft room and the other was in our family room.  They have been reunited in my new craft room :)

The one on the right (looking from inside the room) has doors at the top and the other is open shelves.  I like to keep the doors open so I can see my display projects and my stamps :)

These are my old-style Wood Mount Stampin' Up! stamps.  The ones in the old "clam shell" cases.  From back when you had to cut out your rubber stamps from the sheet before mounting them on your blocks - remember those days?  Oh the hand cramps I used to get!!!

In the open space below, I have my stamp binders (more on that later), old Stampin' Up! catalogs, and copies of our demonstrator news magazine "Stampin' Success".  I like to use all of these as references.  There's a lot of great ideas in those!   Below that is more storage with doors.  I have a bunch of old Creative Memories albums and (empty) pages in there.   I hope to get back to scrapbooking someday...

The open-shelves bookcase holds my retired "new style" Stampin' Up! stamp sets and some of my Paper Pumpkin stamp sets.

These stamps are in alphabetical order and I have my clear mount separated from my wood mount.  Don't ask me why... I don't have an answer, LOL.  The cabinet below is home to boxes of old photographs, that never made it into scrapbooks, and old scrapbook embellishments.

I hope you've enjoyed this brief glance into my room.
I'm off to organize another section!
I'm literally working in one little area at a time.  I got way too overwhelmed by trying to unpack a box at a time... I'm finding it easier to work on one organizational piece at a time instead!

Hope you are having a creative day,
 Mary
